Nate Has Arrived

How is it that a four-year-old can predict the gender of a baby 3 months into pregnancy? I was figuring it was a guess… but, Nathaniel Alan Brody came into the world today. And the world is a better place for it. We are an extended family enveloped in huge joy. Welcome Nate! I am deeply in love already.

I purchased DSL as soon as it became available in my neighborhood. And I loved it. I could watch online TV and work from home.

But now, I can’t watch online TV it buffers every 10 seconds and I also can not work from home (I can’t possibly be efficient with the slower than slow pace of loading everything).

So I go online to try to contact someone for help and the message is “don’t contact us online”. What!?!! You must be joking. I am talking about DSL service here. I need to call you?

“Attention! In an ongoing effort to provide quick and efficient technical support, the “Email us” option is no longer available for High Speed Internet (DSL) or Dial technical assistance.”

I quote ” In an effort to provide quick and efficient…” no online support… yeah right.

A family member just got a “bundle” of internet, TV cable and phones for half the price I am paying now for just internet, phones and cell phones. If I could get that here where I live, I would in a quick second!

AT&T needs to wake up to what service really means…

Casey Died Today

I remember Casey as a strong willed woman and ahead of her times. But, I think she would have been happier if she had been born 30 years later. Maybe most of our mothers would have been. They wouldn’t have had to rely on their husbands for their sense of self.

As women our history has been forged on a hard fought road to freedom.

Tonight I drink a toast to Casey, not with the sweet wine she preferred. But none the less reverent.  She will be missed.

And to Casey’s family my deepest sympathies and love. Be well. Casey is, I am sure.
