What is it?

Unknown larvae

Well, I know it is a larvae. And I know I haven’t seen one like it here before. It was 2 inches long, vivid lime green, with little bunches of hairy bristles that were coarse. And it has already inched it’s way along to somewhere else. It was an inch by… anyone know what it will be when it grows up?

The stuff was delivered. I had no idea that they would upend the flatbed and just let the straps break and dump the stuff. There is some obvious damage… but hopefully none of it will show. Framing will begin next.

Pam the Druid

I proceeded across the street at a slow pace with an armful of flowering basil and a flashlight lighting underneath the basil and upward toward my blue face. The party was only across the street. (thankfully) The costumes were really fun. The food was fabulous. And the yard and house decorations spooktacular!

Garage Day 4

Ready for Foundation Pour

The rebar is placed on top of the chat. Where they cross 1/2 of a brick is placed underneath to raise the rebar off of the chat. In the trenches there is also rebar. And there are rebar hookey thingies in there too. Once the foundation is in the rest should go pretty quickly.

Garage Day 2

On day 2 chat happened. And trenches were dug. Here is Texas they don’t call it “gravel”, it is ground up limestone (in plentiful supply) and this level of ground-up-ness is called “chat”. The chat was put in plastic bags and then some added on top to create a level surface. The trenches are where the cement will go deep. It is voodoo science to me.

Petey and his gift from DebThe box came. I looked at it for a few days in overwhelmedness. When I opened it Petey put his nose in the box pulled out one of the packages by the string and trotted off with it. I did the, “Hey, wait a minute — that one has my name on it!” complaint. Grabbed the box back and handed him his gift. You can see that he is much more pleased with his smiley pumpkin blanket than he would have been with the lovely Belleek pitcher.
